Christmas Card II

Hello and good Saturday to all of you! If you haven’t heard, my country, Indonesia has just been struck with 3 awful natural disasters within 2 weeks. 1 mountain eruption, 1 tsunami and 1 flooding. Please pray for us. Here is the news on the recent twin disasters.

Anyway, moving on to Christmas Card I made. here it is.

Christmas Card I

Yes, as I’ve told you, I have been starting to make my Christmas cards. I love making all things Christmas! Although I’m not a Christian, Christmas has always been really dear to me. We celebrate it culturally and every year we would go to my Uncle’s place whose wife is a Catholic and we’d celebrate it there. We would have one of the most wonderful time together and of course, amazing dinner! We’d bring our nephews, nieces and relatives presents, cakes and of course cards! :D

Ok, enough yapping... Here’s my first Christmas card. Don’t be fooled by me using digital card template. I printed the layers separately then assembled them. I always love  a bit bulky card layers.

Anyway, a few days ago I got a new package of stamps in the mail. I am so excited! I got three stamps of quotes/sentiments because I seem to always run out of sentiments to stamp. Okay, here’s my haul:

My October CCC

Oh my goodness, can you believe that I actually made like a dozen cards but didn’t blog it because I haven’t gotten to photograph or edit them? Arrrggghhh… I vowed not to be a slacker but when that card-making mood hits you, all you want to do is make MORE! Hehe. On another note, I have been making Christmas cards like crazy! Hehe. Will post soon, I promise!

Well I managed to photograph a few, but I’m gonna showcase them one by one hehe.

Here is my October Card  Chain Challenge that I mailed to Isabelle.

Super Good News

I didn’t get a chance to blog yesterday because we had a 1 year memorial of the passing of my Dear Aunt. But yesterday I received such a wonderful news. Lately I have quit a lot of creative teams because I lost a lot of mojo and also to focus more on doing and using what I want. You must’ve know my love for Jessica Sprague’s store… Well, yesterday morning I got an e-mail with the subject: ”Welcome to the Jessica Sprague Creative Team”. I jumped off my chair and cheered away hehehe. I was so thrilled! In fact I am still pinching myself. This is such a wonderful opportunity that I feel so blessed with. I can’t wait to get to know everybody on the team and also to work with all the yumminess there!

Anyway, here is my recent card.

God bless!

Wacky Wednesday

Oh yes, so much to do today. Aaaaaaannnd, I still haven’t started on my Holiday card making! I would be in panic come December if I don’t start soon. I don’t have a lot of Holiday stamps, maybe I’ll just create sentiments on the computer then. But until I actually make those cards, hehe, let’s see my latest card.

This is a tent topper card (instructions here)

Last Saturday I bought this kit/collection by Sara Schmutz which is on sale since she was the designer spotlight on Design House Digital. I can totally picture making recipe books/mini album with this. It’s a bit kitschy, a little bit sophisticated and all kinds of FUN!

Mad About Square Cards

I’m so glad that I can just go to the local paper shop and buy paper in bulk, cut to any size I want. It’s cheaper than buying them in stationery store. I recently bought cardstock and made them cut to 5x10 inch size to make 5 inch square cards, and now I’m addicted. hehe.

I finally got some of my scrapping mojo back. Yes, some. I have looked into some of the October Portfolio challenges over at Sweet Shoppe Designs forum and I’m thinking about starting some layouts tomorrow. Meanwhile, here are some of my recent hauls.

Babies

A lot of my colleagues and friends are expecting at the same time. And a couple of them are in the early stages, but that doesn’t mean I can’t prepare the perfect card for them. That’s why I created these cards, it’s neutral enough but still really cute.

This is gonna be a quick post, guys. Hehehe. I am super sleepy since I spent the day making cards! Oh yes, because this is World Card Making Day! I made a total of 5 cards, but tonight here’s one of them. Only got to edit a couple of them.

Always Distracted

So I get to go home early every Thursday and Friday. Almost always, before I go home I have this vision of baking as soon as I get home. But then what happens is that I get distracted. Either by new TV shows (it is after all, fall!) or by looking at my eyecandies. Yes, LOOKING at them. hahaha. Cuteness overload! I have so many and I constantly add more to my collection that I get overwhelmed. But anyway, today, I promise I will either A. Make Christmas or fall cards (I seriously need to start making my Christmas cards!) B. Bake cappuccino cupcakes that I’ve been meaning to make after having the recipe for a month!

Oh, by the way some more of my orders came! Heehee. I finally have a proper paper trimmer now! :D And a few new baby stamps because seems like a lot of people in my life are expecting, including my morning partner’s wife :)

01-005445_product_main_large

I finally settled for this because I spent hours searching for the SureCut™ Deluxe Craft Paper Trimmer to no avail on the internet. Another reason is that this trimmer has the new SureCut™ “technology” that would let me cut precisely where I want to because it has this metal wire string that shows the line where we’re cutting (try saying that 3 times and fast! lol). I can get the older version of the Deluxe Craft Paper Trimmer, but I opted for this new design instead. Same technology, I just need to extend the arms to cut papers that are more than 3 inch wide. I think it’s compact too so I can take it to a crop (if I’ll ever attend any haha). I’ve got the replacement blades and also scoring blade en route, so I hope I can have them sometime next week and I can start making those 3D projects more easily! Yaaaay!

As for the new stamps, well I’ve got some new Inkadinkado stamps. I know I am crazy about Hero Arts, but I think these new stamps from Inkadinkado are totally adorable! See for yourself!
