Happy Holiday!

Hi, hi all! Yes.. This has been long overdue… So let me get to it. Hehehe. I have been spending my weekends making cards. Christmas cards, to be exact. I had told myself that I had to stop making Christmas cards on the 5th of December then move on to New Years cards. But no, as a HUGE fan of Christmas I just can’t stop making any Christmas cards! Heehee.

So here is one of them. One of many! :D

O, Christmas Tree!

Oh yes, I am more and more in Christmas mood! Some of my friends often wonder why I love Christmas so much eventhough I don’t celebrate it. It’s such a special holiday for me because every year we’d gather at my uncle’s place and have a sumptuous meal. The kids would open gifts under the Christmas tree and we would just enjoy the warm family event. I also love all the patterns and colors of Christmas. Just so special!

Bittersweet

Happy Thursday everybody! It’s been raining a lot in Jakarta lately. And I love it because my room is so cool and cozy, I usually pull up my blanket and read a good book. Speaking of which, I am going to show you a bookmark I made a while back.

This was suppose to be one of my posts over at SOG and I even took it to Australia with me, but I didn’t have the chance because the internet connection where we stayed in wasn’t reliable. I have since stepped down from SOG. Sad, I know. But I think with me missing a little bit the last couple of months would not be fair to SOG. Kristy has been nothing but wonderful to me, so I would like to thank her and the rest of the team. Hope to see you guys around the blogland :)

Peace, Love and Joy

Good morning! It’s Wednesday and I am excited about my new office today. Was asked to join the editorial staff at my radio station and of course I jumped the chance! It’s pretty laid back and I am in charge of writing scripts and articles for women programs so it’s all good :)

Meanwhile it’s a little over a month to Christmas now! So of course, being that Christmas is my fave holiday, I made Christmas cards like mad. First off, I’m going to show you this beauty.

Sweet Baby

Hello hello all! I can finally breathe now hahaha. Loads of things to catch up on. But first, a new card I made for The Rubber Buggy using a sweet Tilda image. I think the colors are unusual for a baby/expecting card, nevertheless it’s still adorable :)

80’s Gal

When I saw this kit by Traci Reed, I know it should be turned into a funky 80’s related card. You see that casette pattern? That is sooo 80’s! I mean, yeah 90’s too but the colors are neon-like bright so it suits the 80’s theme well. So what better way than to pair it with this adorable image from The Greeting Farm?

I will be traveling to see my best friend this October, which makes me miss her even more lately. We’re so excited that we message each other countdowns and making itinerary for when I visit her. So I am making this card to give her and express just how much I miss her. I am sure she’ll love the colors on this card too, it’s sooo adorable.

You Make Me Happy!

Well yeah, the person that’ll be receiving this is.. But making this card was a bit… Hmmm.. challenging. Believe me, the designing on PS and printing takes less than 15 minutes, but assembling it? 3 hours I tell ya! I keep moving things around and adding more and more embellishments until I was happy about it.  But anyway, it turned out great and I love the bright colors here.

Seems that for people in the western hemisphere summer is nearly over. We have year-round tropical weather here so I can actually make summery cards whenever I want, but I am soooo ready to make winter and holiday cards! I love making them. My Guy Ian

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Eid Ul-Fitr is really near now and I’m kinda panicking because some of the stuff mailed to me from shops overseas and locally hasn’t arrived yet. This year, even the private courier services are experiencing shipping overload. We have about a week of holiday starting this Friday and I want to make sure I can use up that time to craft. I’m praying my stuff will be here by today or tomorrow at the latest.

Anyway, on to my card… I rarely create boy cards. So today I am showing you one of a few boy cards I made recently.

Back To School

Yes! Time for school to be back in session again right here in Jakarta. I am not missing the whole school holiday here, by the way. EVERY corner in Jakarta was so crowded I hated going out even on weekdays. Guh. But now it’s Ramadhan time where people go crazy shopping before the big day AKA Eid Ul Fitr, so my pain isn’t going away soon heehee. Well at least some places are back to normal.

Speaking of normal. Here’s another card I made when I’m back in the groove. Finishing up a few more this weekend, so look out for those ;)

Ice Cream With Love

Hello all! How is your summer so far? I’ve been so busy thesedays, although I’ve still gotten some time to create cards. I took up a new job alongside with my radio DJ-ing, which is doing voice over for one of our cable TVs. It’s a pretty tough work as I had to dub almost 50 pages worth of narration everyday, but the toughest part is coming home on rush hour which is about a 2,5 hours trip. When it’s on the weekend it only takes HALF AN HOUR! Can you imagine the traffic jam I go through daily? Gah.

But anyway, on weekends I get to enjoy my sanctuary. My cardmaking haven at home. I have about 5 unfinished cards that just need a tiny bit of finishing. But for now I will show you a card I made for TDC’s Card Caravan. Come and join the fun!

Pocahontas-esque Forest Fairy

Here’s another card using one of the newest digi releases from Some Odd Girl. I colored this fairy with Pocahontas in mind. So she’s kind of tan and her hair is dark. I don’t know why I thought of Pocahontas when I saw this image for the first time. She looks so mellow and sweet :)
