Happy Accident

While I was making a center step card, I accidentally cut the sides way longer than I had to. But I love it when accidents happen, it makes me want to salvage whatever I had done. Et voila! This card was salvage and made like it was meant to have side panels as thin as that and cut as deep as it looked. Plus, this is one of the ‘boys’ cards I made for a friend :)

Boys Will Be Boys

Give me pinks, flowers and I will whip up a girly card in no time. But boys cards… Agh, I always struggle with it. I was ‘forced’ to make a couple when my close friend was about to have a birthday. Grown up guys card are so difficult to make. Not because it’s elaborate, but they like it simple and masculine. So here is one I conjured after fiddling with it on my Photoshop for two hours. I even added staples to make it casually ‘masculine’. haha.

Another Thursday!

H E C T I C!

Yes, that’s probably the most accurate definition to my days this week. It hasn’t died down yet. I’m predicting that things would only slow down after the 27th when it’s 3 days to the start of Ramadhan month. Work, family, school.. There’s so many things to organize.

Anyway, here’s another card I’m going to share today.

Easy Does It

I love simple cards, I am a HUGE fan of simple cards in fact. But simple isn’t always easy. I have had cards which looked simple but took hours to make, simply because I had to think about placement and colors. These two are simple and easy cards I made recently.

Monday Spirit

It’s Monday again today (on my side of the world)! I have so much to do today like you wouldn’t believe! Plus the Ramadhan month is coming, which means there’ll be loads of planning to do. Anyway, it’s the start of the week so I am pumped :)

WWW_0010-(10)ok

I bought loads of colored cardstock a couple of weeks ago, and it’s really cheap! 4 letter sized cardstock are about 40 cents! As much as I dislike the traffic, air and overcrowded areas in Jakarta, I am blessed to be able to but my craft supplies at a fraction of the price abroad. Hehe. So when I have stacks of colored cardstock, I need to de-stash ‘em by making a card. Here is one of them. I, once again, made the stick pin myself. Don’t you just love that heart bead? It’s so cute! And that twill tape/ribbon is 50 cents for what seems to be 30 meters. Gotta love frugality! Haha.

Even More New Stuff

Sad news of the week is that throughout the week I have been PC-less. Yes, it broke down on me *sigh* it’s been repaired and hopefully it’ll be fine soon. I have been using my laptop and I miss my PC dearly because all my digital stash is there! I think that was the perfect excuse to buy new digi stuff lately haha.

Anyway, on to my new card. This is a simple wedding card, I mainly wanted to play with my new Copic marker colors , digital kit and also my new doily die from Spellbinders. I love both so much! I made the stick pin myself (yay!), I am totally addicted because it looks so nice. I also added Stickles to her sheer bottom part of the dress. What do you think?

I also have grown very fond of character stamps and have been saving some money to buy new sets (I have already purchased loads of label-type and sentiment stamps) of character stamps. I got my eyes on The Greeting Farm stamps. So cool!

Speaking of new, here are even more new  (digi) stuff I purchased a while back:

Somebunny Loves You, Hunny!

I was totally inspired when I saw a sketch for a Viva la Verve! Challenge over at SCS.

VLVJun11Week2Sketch

It’s a few weeks old but I love it so much and I used that as an inspiration for my card below.

I love how this card turned out, simple but cute! I love the colors so much and I especially love the sparkles from stickles which I added to emulate bunny fur. This is also another de-stashing since I bought so many new digi stuff over the past month. The kit used in this card was actually purchased in *wait for it…..* 2009! haha!

It’s Summertime!

Yes it is because it’s soooo hot! Plus the mosquitos are out for fresh blood apparently hahaha, it’s getting worse the past 2 weeks. We have light showers a few times in the past month but right now it’s sunshiny outside. For me summertime is defined by bold colors. Blue, red, orange and yellow… This is what I try to capture in my recent card.

Thanks For The Yummy Goodness

Wow, I have been absent for so long! I have been traveling, done projects and work that it’s bee very hectic in the past few weeks. But I am back!

Anyway, I like trying new styles of papercrafting or cardmaking. This time I try to distress my patterned papers. Shabby or distressed look is cool but I can never do it, I don’t know why haha. But here’s my best shot at it.
