So Ready For Spring

I just had my birthday 3 days ago. It was quite a blast :) My crew in the studio totally spoiled me. I get to pick the songs for the playlist, pick the topic to talk about and even the artist to feature on our daily segment called One Hour Wonder. Nothing less than anything and everything I love :D

Me and my family also had dinner in a shabu-shabu and yakiniku restaurant near my house. It was just simple and nice, but I love it. Anything for a gathering with my family is always awesome.

Anyway, I think I’ve never had that much tweets and facebook posts to reply! Hahahaha… I am so blessed to have good friends, families and colleagues who care about me :) One of them is my good friend Aldi, who inspired me to create this card below. He’s always have his ways with words and his sentiment is the best I’ve ever received complete with a virtual hug :)

I Scream, You Scream…

For ice cream!!! Hehehehe. I have been soooooo in love with this stamp after I trolled the galleries a while back. After a while I found them thanks to a good friend of mine :) This is actually my first ever Stampin Up stamp! I also have another different SU set in woodblock (this one’s in cling version), but I’ll have to make it into a card first before showing you guys here. Hehe.

Spring?

Okay it’s almost March and it’s still raining cats and dogs most days, and gloomy skies… Ahhh, I really want me some light spring sprinkles :) When I lived in Melbourne I always love spring. The weather is perfect and there are so many festivities. We’d go to the Tulip Farm over at Dandenong Mountains, Melbourne Showgrounds for the annual fair (and going home with heaps and heaps of goodie bags!) and strolling alongside the Yarra river (my apartment is just a few minutes walk from there). Ahhh, good times! That’s why I created this spring-y card. I want those blue skies and cool breeze here in Jakarta!

What Makes Me Happy

I really love pink. Pink makes me happy. I think I have a lot of pink and girly kits, though this Valentine’s Day I had to buy a couple of pink-red kits because I have little pink and red color combo kits hehe. Here is one card I made for my sweet friend, I usually paper pieced the clothing part of stamps because well, I usually don’t have matching marker colors hehehe. But for this one I have the markers to go with the kit’s colors hehehe.

My Time To Craft Challenge #129

I remember buying two tubes of gel a loooooong while back (like, a year ago or something?!) and I wanted to make a gel card. But well, you know me… The procrastinator queen.. haha, so I just gotten round to using them now! Haha. I am quite happy with this card I make. I know the technique is ancient and people rarely uses it thesedays but I think that’s why I tried it.

Vintage

Still with my love for poppies, this is another card with a shabby and a bit vintage look to it. It also gives that natural look to the card. I’ve always wanted to use my Potter’s Clay Memento ink with subtle colors, and so here’s the result. Hope you like it :)

Sunshines and Poppies

I love poppy images. It makes me think of orange and red and those colors instantly make me happy :)

Here’s one I made for Wee Memories Challenge. The inspiration is so springy... So nice, though I can’t say the same about Jakarta’s weather. It’s been raining a lot and murky clouds. Aaaaggghhh. I want my sunny Jakarta back, but I know when that happens it’ll be scorching hot and I would hope for the exact murky weather again haha.
