Start of The Week

Oh I cannot believe it’s Monday again! I feel like lazying around on my bed all day long. But oh well, I gotta go back to my routines so I can get to the next weekend ;)

Here’s a long overdue card I made (the base was made last year I think haha), I stamped and colored the image a few days ago when I found the base again in my stash bag haha.

Make Do With What You Have

Yes, that’s what I tell myself when crafting. I try to be as frugal as I can when crafting. Like last Tuesday when me and my friends ‘raided’ my fave ribbon and buttons store, I found similar ribbons like SU’s and also PTI buttons, all at the fraction of the price. I try to do the same when it comes to markers. I have limited Copic markers and sometimes I don’t have the coordinating trios or quads, so I blend them with the cheaper Prismacolor. It’s not always a good combo, but I make do with what I have. Like this image below from Magnolia. I colored them with both Copic and Prismacolor markers, and then I coordinate it with a digital kit I have in my stash. Usually I go the other way around hehe.

Hey There, Cupcake!

Still making workshop cards today. I made this for my first fun folds workshop cards. I am planning to teach my friends 3 types of fun folds cards. This is the simplest and easiest one, Easel Card.

Don’t you just love all the yumminess there? You might know by now that I am addicted to all kinds of food images/stamps especially cupcakes and when I spotted this stamp set I know I just have to have it!

Have a nice weekend!

Workshop Cards

After a quite successful ‘workshop’ I had with my three good friends last Tuesday, we are all gonna be back at my place in the next two weeks to have another ‘workshop’ hehe. Last time I taught them how to make flowers from papers, prima flowers and cupcake liners. Next workshop will be all about cards! Hehe. I’m thinking of sharing my knowledge on how to make fun folds cards and also attaching charms and creating stick pins. These are two of the workshop cards I made for the example. Both include different ways to attach charms and I made them pretty simple because I wanted my friends to create more cards in short time.

Yay For Thursday!

Ah, I can’t believe it’s already Thursday and it’s almost weekend again! Getting that 2 days holiday on Monday and Tuesday are so pampering! Haha. I am in the mood to get crafting again this weekend. So, yay for mojo!

Anyway, I had a mini meet with a few of my card maker friends on Tuesday. It was Vesak Holiday so we decided to meet up and had a mini-workshop. Heehee. Yours truly is the demonstrator and we made different types of flowers ;p But not only that, I took them to a couple of shops and as you can imagine, they were like a kid in a candy store! They bought all the ribbons and buttons they could get their hands on. So fun!

Anyway, here is another tri-shutter card (don’t you just love them?) I made. I am planning to make another one soon. I have sooooo many patterned papers that I just gotta showcase!

Cuteness!

Yes, cuteness! I have said in my previous post that I am in love with La-La Land Crafts’ stamps. So last weekend I printed a couple of their digis and colored them. Then I made cards with them. Ah I love them so much!

Soaring By To Say Hi

It’s been a couple of months since I purchased PTI stamps. And up to recently I just look at them in awe, emphasize on the word look. Hehe. So after so long I had to ink one of them and I love how the card turns out after it’s finished.

Happy Hello Friend

Maybe you’ve noticed, Blogger did a maintenance yesterday and somehow it deleted one of my posts! Agh, so I had to republished it. There was a comment on the post I had to republish, I think it’s gone now. Agh, so sorry Bonnie!

Anyway, I just ordered some Penny Black and Magnolia stamps. I am pushing myself to color more character stamps. I purchased a couple of La La Land Crafts stamps and I think I am in love. Like super happy monkey love.. hehe. I colored them a couple of days ago and WOW, it was very pretty! Check them out if you haven’t already. Will post the card I made with their stamps soon, but for now… Here’s another attempt to de-stash my stamp collection, using an old stamp from Stampavie.

Mom’s Card

How was your Mother’s Day last weekend, everyone? I hope you all had a wonderful time! It wasn’t Mother’s Day for us Indonesian here, but I did manage to make a Mother’s Day card. You can pretty much say this is financially ‘efficient’ card hehe, but really it’s just an excuse to de-stash. The digital stamp/brush was purchased when it was on sale for 25 cents (Designer Digitals used to have 25 cents new product every Monday, now the deal has gone up to 99 or 50  cents) and the papers are freebie set (also from Designer Digitals). I used distressing technique on the edges using scissors to make it even frugal hehehe.

For A Friend

Happy Wednesday, friends! I made a card for an old friend that has been sick and although she’s on the way to recovery, I know it will be a long one. She needs a lot of therapy and it’ll be as soon as months for things to go back to normal again for her. So I made her this card to let her know that I’m here, praying for her and wishing her all the best. I don’t want a ‘get well soon’ card because I think that would be out of context.

Teen Cards

My cards are always girly or childish.. I think it’s because I always love those two themes. Well I created two similar cards that would fit a teen’s birthday hehe. They’re still playful, but the mp3 player-toting image gave it that ‘cool’ look that a teen/tween would love. I’m also using the Easel Card technique.

Yummy Tri-Shutter Card

Have you recovered from this weekend’s iNSD? I sure have… Hehe, I bought a few digital kits and paper packs this weekend. Although I had to refrain myself from buying a lot because I just bought a slew of new stamps. Yes, I have new stash to play with! :D

On to the card… So yeah, I forced myself to de-stash and use whatever paper pack or kits that I haven’t used at all. I fell in love with this paper pack from Tracy Ann Designs almost a year ago, and of course I immediately purchased it. hehe. So in my attempt to de-stash, I made a card with it :) This is also a birthday card accompanying my chocolate cupcake I made for my darling friend, Ayu. She loves it so much :D
