Here's A Birthday Card For You!

Carrying on the birthday card theme, here is one that is simple but also cute. I just realized a few months ago that I don't make many birthday cards. I try to do the sentiment on a card that would relate to the image and yeah it can be a birthday card also, but it's not a straightforward birthday card you know? So I'm using this image and the papers are also very apparent that it's a birthday theme.

Happy Birthday!

It's September!!! How can it be September? Oh my gosh... This month marks my sixth month of working from home. My company has set us to work from home until the end of this month. I feel a little bit mellow about that actually. I have been loving my time working from home as I feel a lot more relaxed and in control of my time (no commute especially). I don't know how I can go from here to going back to the office as I used to hehe.

Anyway, today I am sharing another birthday card with you. In fact, this whole week I will try to share birthday cards with you. I love making them and they get sent out quite a lot because almost every week I know someone having a birthday.

Retro Rockabilly Girl: You're So Cute

We come to the final image of that cute stamp set I've been using the past few days. I'm so proud of myself. I actually have a looooott of new stamps that I (keep) purchasing, so if you see me posting older stamps is because I promise myself to catch up on using my older stash before moving to new ones. As for shopping, well that's another case haha.

Retro Rockabilly Girl: You Wow Me Card

Hullo! I am back with my third card of the series. I love coloring these retro girls. They look cute and fierce at the same time. Such cute images. Today's card is a lot simpler and the photo really doesn't do it justice, but in real life it's cute and all the colors go together. I am still getting used to my new light setting and might be looking for a different set up in the near future because sometimes when I take photos using this lighting (on this one I used a ringlight) the colors can be washed out.

Retro Rockabilly Girl: Hello Card

Do you have a system of either coloring your images or making a card? I actually mass-color my images, imagining what I want to coordinate it with (in terms of papers or kits), then mass-create them later one. Usually I would color up to 20 images, then create cards with it a week or two later, sometimes even longer. The risk is I forget which paper packs or kits that I want to use with which image. This image below is one of those images that I forgot which papers I want to pair it with. After I finished the card I just remembered the correct kit. I now have a system of remembering which kit/papers to pair my images with, I just stick a post-it note on the image to remind me. Hehe.

Retro Rockabilly Girl: Thank You Card

Hello! How is your weekend everyone? I hope you all had a restful and fun weekend. Can you believe it's almost the end of August? Chilly season is upon you in the southern hemisphere. We are here still enjoying our tropical weather and well... waiting for the rainy season later on towards the end of the year.

I'm going to star this week with gorgeous retro card I made with a set of rockabilly images from CC Designs. I love this style, I don't think I have them from other stamp companies.

Hey, You!

Hey, you! Yes, you! I hope things are well with you. It's again one of those weeks where there are so many meetings and ad-hoc discussions. It's very exciting though. I am pretty happy with my work and very grateful that I am still employed. I try to craft almost daily now after work, but sometimes my back hurts and I get pretty tense after all day working so I would do just small things like die cutting.

Anyhow, here's another Summer card I made. Hope you like it :)

Wonderful Mermaid Card

I guess I haven't moved on from my Mermaid Week last week. I still have a mermaid card to share with you all. I actually bought The Greeting Farm's new Mermaid Galore kit and I will be coloring them over the next couple of weeks. So yes, more mermaid cards in the future!

Mermaid Week Day 4: Let's Shell-ebrate

It's now almost weekend and more than midway on Mermaid Week over on my YouTube channel. This one is another shaker card. I love the one because the shape is quite unusual. I used a label die from Gina Marie Designs as a base and frame of my shaker. It turned out very cute. I used seed beads here, it kinda looks like bubbles. I also colored the hair blue, something I rarely do. Overall it was a fun card to make and challenged me to do something I rarely do or even never done before.

Summer Fun

Happy Friday, everyone! I am so excited to get home from Sydney tomorrow. I have to pack for another trip next week. Today’s card is a simple, summery card. I love scene cards like this, but I am not used to it. I like layers and showcasing patterns. I love it nonetheless. I hope you do too!

XoXo, You’re The Apple of My Eye Card

Hello, hello everyone! It’s me posting right before heading to Malaysia for a quick business meeting. I am so excited and nervous at the same time. Excited because we are all given a villa with private pool (yes, one villa per person!), but also nervous since I have to present in front of hundreds of people. Hopefully it’ll be fine.

Today I want to show you a rather simple card. Still in the back to school mood, I made this fresh card using CC Designs’ Olivia’s Apple. I love the colors here and how cute she looks. I used corrugated paper here to mat that adorable patterned paper. I love how it looks like!

Fuzzy Boots Birgitta Corrugated Box

Hello everyone! When this post is up, I will be somewhere in Europe I hope. I am traveling there for my annual corporate meeting with my company and then I will go to several places for holiday. I am loving the traveling bit but definitely not the cold!

Speaking of cold, here’s a new boxfrom me for my Quick Creations GDT post using Fuzzy Boots Birgitta. Isn’t she cute?!?!?! This is a 4x4 pizza box made from corrugated paper :) I then brushed some pearl paint to make it look like it’s a bit shabby :D Love love looovvee the result!

A Happy Hello Letter For You, Valentine!

Hi everyone! It’s D-2 until my departure to Amsterdam for my annual corporate meeting. I will be there for 4 days and then I will go and stroll around Europe for a bit. I’m quite excited but definitely terrified too. I HATE the cold, I seriously do. I wear a blanket athe office daily, you know! Because the air conditioner is just soooo cold! But I made a pact to myself to push myself anytime and and way I can when I am still able-bodied. So yeah, I’m gonna brave the winter and enjoy Copenhagen and Stockholm ;)

Anyway, still on Valentine’s Day card mood, here’s a new one I created. It’s girly and fun I love it. Naturally Valentine’s Day is my fave holiday because the colors are so pretty during that month.

Coffee Birgitta

I am so excited about going to the office today! Tomorrow will be the start of my super long weekend! It’s Chinese New Year tomorrow and I am taking a leave the next day. So I’ll have a 4 day weekend! How cool is that? I already made plans… to stay at home. LOL! I haven’t been baking or cooking a lot since our helpers have resigned and we haven’t gotten the time to look for new helpers, second of all, our house was flooded last week. Gosh it was so horrible! So we had to clean up and fix things up until the weekend. This weekend I want to indulge myself and just relax. Crafting and cooking/baking :D

Speaking of staying at home, the image on this card would be so suitable for me. I’d be in my jammies, sipping coffee and then messing up my room with paper stuff. Fun times!!!
