Sweet Valentine

Alrighty… It’s Tuesday and it’s the last day of January! Heehee. Boy time sure flies when you’re having fun! I had soooo much fun this past week creating a storm, especially Valentine’s Day cards. I actually love making Valentine’s Day cards, you can turn almost any image into a romantic or Valentine-y card hehe.

Continuing my craziness with physical paper heehee, I made this one. The side is actually a wrap around, so it’s almost like an overhanging that closes the card.

Gatefold Valentine’s Day Cards

Hi everyone! It’s Monday again and closer to February hehe. My ‘secret’ will be revealed in a couple of days… So excited! :D

Anyway, continuing my Valentine’s Day cards these are a couple of gate-fold cards I made using *gasp* non-hybrid products.  I know, I know….. So totally not me right? Hehe. But I went to my local scrapbook store, Made With Love, and they were having a 40% off sale (as I wrote a few posts ago) on paper pads, Prima embellishments and a few other brands. So just before I go to the checkout place I noticed this paper pack from Doodlebug calling my name, loudly. Hahaha. So what I can I do? I had to save it from that place right? I immediately picked it up and admired the most adorable pink and red patterns inside. There was only one unfortunately, I so want more of this paper pad! I’ve created a few Valentine’s Day cards with this pad, I will share it over the next few days.

Now for the first version, the sentiment is embossed using Martha Stewart embossing powder.

I really love the version, the pink on her dress contrasts well with the pattern and red embossed background. I didn’t emboss the sentiment here.

Which one you like more?

Cream and Pink Valentine

Hey everybody! Such a lovely Sunday it is today. Just got back from staying at a pretty swanky hotel here in Jakarta because my friend gave me a free one night stay perk there! Hehehe. So lovely! But I’m pretty knackered since I swam a lot yesterday and was walking around the local market there this morning. Just got home now heehee.

Here’s a card I wanted to share with you today.

It’s one of my Valentine’s Day series cards. I made quite a lot this past week, making me soooo off the mood to make CNY cards hahahaha. I was also accepted to be Traci Reed Designs’ creative team as a hybrid designer. Wheeeee! Here is one of my many creations using her kit.

PubCASE #2

Hey everyone! Have you been wondering where I went? Hehehe. Well I am still here. Like I said in my previous post, my camera’s batteries are being borrowed by my friend and I just got it back yesterday so I only gotten round to photographing new stuff I made today. Other than that… I have a secret and have been creating a storm behind the scene for this little secret ehehe.

Well anyway, I am back with a new PubCASE! Here is the inspiration.

I just loooove how the circles come together as the highlight of the card. Plus it gave me idea of how to use my French Pastry Doily die from Cheery Lynn ;) Hehe. Here’s my take:

Lovely Monday

Hello everybody! It’s such a lovely Monday today. It was sunny outside and I got an invitation to shop this Wednesday over at my fave scrapbook store with an extra 20% off of their current 40% off promotion. Can’t wait! Hehehe.

Anyway, since my camera’s batteries are being borrowed by my good friend I couldn’t photograph a few of my new projects I made over the weekend. But I do have a couple of cards to share with you. Made it not long ago and I really love the color combos :)

You’re Groovy!

Hey everybody! Went to see my niece yesterday but I spent all of my Friday and a bit of yesterday coloring my stamp images. I am going to finish my Valentine’s Day cards that will be mailed overseas next week then quickly move on to my Chinese New Year cards.

Anyway, moving on to another Valentine’s Day card… This is a criss cross pocket card again, I think I love the way it looks like an envelope and a card in one. Heehee. The stamp set is a free gift set I got when I ordered rosette dies from My favorite Things during their recent re-launch. I was so delighted when I received it because it was the perfect excuse to buy the paper packs (well it’s actually a part of a mini kit) I had been drooling over with for a long time. It’s a perfect match for this stamp!

Criss-Cross Mermaid Card

A while back I did a workshop teaching a few friends how to make a criss-cross card and a milk carton and holder. This is the card I made for the workshop. There is a sentiment on the inside when the receiver pull out that white card.

PubCASE #1

I was really inspired by Joan Robertson’s Trendy Tuesday feature that I decided to do similar one of my own. I subscribed to a number of publications online and wanted to make the most of those, so once a week I will showcase card or project that is inspired by one I see in the publication. I will call it PubCASE aka Publication’s Copy and Share Everything.

My first PubCASE is a card inspired by a lovely card by Laura Evangeline in the December edition of CARDS magazine (page 129). I love the scallop edge and the chipboard label.

So anyway, here is my take:

Simple Cards

It was my parents’ 38th anniversary last week. Didn’t do anything fancy or had a party for that, but each year my Mom would make us yellow rice, a traditional food that we cook to celebrate a special event. This year I surprised them with their favorite cake and some extra special gift hehe. Glad they liked it.

Anyway, it has come to my attention that I haven’t made a lot of anniversary or wedding cards. So here is one.

For A Special Princess

Happy Wednesday, everyone! The weather is unbearable lately here in Jakarta. It’s striking hot one hour then gloomy the next and then boom! Raining cats and dogs! Ugh. I do love rain though, I just hate the ever-changing weather.

Anyway, continuing my Valentine’s Day cards. I created this one for one of my friends. I won’t tell who she is, but this one’s coming your way soon okay, Dear! I colored this with my colored pencils and Sansodor/Gamsol. But this image was actually a salvaged image after a Copic disaster underneath hehe. I love the way the colored pencils blend well with the Copics and created a nice crease/pleats look on her dress. I also didn’t have any gold color on my Copics so I colored it with my metallic pencils and then blended it with Sansodor.

Sweet Celebration

Good morning! (Well at least, it’s weeeee early here in Indonesia!) It’s Tuesday so it’s a day closer to weekend, don’t you think? ;)

For this year, since everyone is so keen on making resolutions, I too made a card-making resolution. I resolve to create at least 4 cards a week, with the rest of the week will be for coloring images, photographing and organizing. And I will do Holiday cards way ahead this year. I am a bit late starting my Valentine’s card, but I don’t really feel the need to rush. Here is my first Valentine’s card. This was done using a new folding technique called the Double-Dutch Card folding technique and I love it!

Blogged Again!

Hello and have a happy new year to you all! Oh, end of 2011 has been a busy time for me. Then in the early 2012 I got a bit sick so I just had time to blog now, though I didn’t stop making cards ;)

Here is the first card for 2012:
