For You Birthday Card

I have a confession to make. I am very intrigued by European-style (more like, British-style) cardmaking, where they make big cards. I think their favorite card sizes are 5 x 7 inch, 6 x 6 inch and (European) A5 (5.8 x 8.3 inch) size. Big right? When one of my friends went to Amsterdam earlier this year, I asked her if I can get some thing sent to her hotel to then bring back to Jakarta. She said yes and so I bought a few dies from Craft Stash. Some of them are A5 nesting dies and also recently I bought 5x7 dies.

This is my first 5x7 card that uses a stamp. I have mixed feelings about it because I think the papers look too big, but overall I like the size. I will try to do more bigger sized cards in the future for sure.

Hugs 5 x 7 Inch Arrow Fold Card

I love watching tutorials on YouTube. It feels like half of my crafting days are spent watching videos rather than making anything lol. Today I am showing you a card that I made following a tutorial from Sam Calcott. I am a huge fan of her and love her tutorials as they are easy and very impressive. I don't know where she gets her ideas and skill to put ideas to actual measurements, but I will continue to try her tutorials for my next projects.

This card is made using this tutorial.

Retro Rockabilly Girl: You're So Cute

We come to the final image of that cute stamp set I've been using the past few days. I'm so proud of myself. I actually have a looooott of new stamps that I (keep) purchasing, so if you see me posting older stamps is because I promise myself to catch up on using my older stash before moving to new ones. As for shopping, well that's another case haha.

Retro Rockabilly Girl: You Wow Me Card

Hullo! I am back with my third card of the series. I love coloring these retro girls. They look cute and fierce at the same time. Such cute images. Today's card is a lot simpler and the photo really doesn't do it justice, but in real life it's cute and all the colors go together. I am still getting used to my new light setting and might be looking for a different set up in the near future because sometimes when I take photos using this lighting (on this one I used a ringlight) the colors can be washed out.

Retro Rockabilly Girl: Hello Card

Do you have a system of either coloring your images or making a card? I actually mass-color my images, imagining what I want to coordinate it with (in terms of papers or kits), then mass-create them later one. Usually I would color up to 20 images, then create cards with it a week or two later, sometimes even longer. The risk is I forget which paper packs or kits that I want to use with which image. This image below is one of those images that I forgot which papers I want to pair it with. After I finished the card I just remembered the correct kit. I now have a system of remembering which kit/papers to pair my images with, I just stick a post-it note on the image to remind me. Hehe.

Retro Rockabilly Girl: Thank You Card

Hello! How is your weekend everyone? I hope you all had a restful and fun weekend. Can you believe it's almost the end of August? Chilly season is upon you in the southern hemisphere. We are here still enjoying our tropical weather and well... waiting for the rainy season later on towards the end of the year.

I'm going to star this week with gorgeous retro card I made with a set of rockabilly images from CC Designs. I love this style, I don't think I have them from other stamp companies.

With Love Card

I love Disneyland and Disneyworld. I don't care how old I am, when I go there it makes me feel so happy and giddy like I was 9 again (which was the first time I went there in Anaheim). I also love Disney characters, they are so adorable! When this Minnie-inspired character came out by The Greeting Farm, I jumped on the chance of getting one. It was one of the stamps in the mystery box package that Greeting Farm sold last year and I completely missed it, so when it was available again I immediately bought it.

Picnic Boxes and Paper Purse

It's another public holiday today! It's a great time to be catching up on my crafting today. I hope you are all having a relaxing time also, whether you're having a public holiday or not.

Today is Islamic New Year holiday in Indonesia. We don't necessarily celebrate it festively, as we usually have big celebrations on Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha. We usually have family gatherings (and in my family almost 100 and one time even close to 200 people came over to my place throughout the day!) and we would stuff our faces with yummy dishes.

Anyway, today I am sharing two cute picnic boxes and a paper purse. These are made using dies designed by Nicole Silhouette that are sold at Aliexpress. I am a huge fan of her dies as they're pretty large and quite affordable.

Miss Your Hugs

I have enjoyed making cards for my friends lately. I try to choose sentiments that would fit the current situation like on this card. I usually just send my card using a courier here, it's cheap and they pick up your package/mail at your house. I think I haven't been to the post office in months! I still have to mail my cards the traditional way when it comes to sending my cards/packages abroad though.

Congrats!

It was Indonesia's Independence Day yesterday. It was nice to celebrate it at home, just like we used to. This week is full of public holiday actually so work is a bit lax. My plan for all these "down time" is to cook or bake and munch the day away. Hehe.

I am sharing a cute Summer card today. She looks like she's ready to strut around the beach right? I love these yummy colors, it's so cheerful!

Big Summer Hugs To You!

It's well into August but I'm still going to keep going with creating Summer-y cards! I live in a tropical country, so I have the perfect excuse hahaha.

This is a 5.5 x 5.5 inches card and I used the sentiment stamp and die combo from Lawn Fawn that I bought probably almost 3 years ago but just used it now. It looks so cute right? I am going to use it more and probably even get more of these style of stamp and die combos.

Thinking of You

I can't believe it's Friday again! Sometimes time goes so fast when you're working from home, but also when there are many things that you need to get done, time goes very slow hehe. Anyway, I am sharing another card with a cute image using a mask. It's one of the first images I get from The Greeting Farm with the pandemic and/or quarantine theme. This was a limited-edition free digital stamp that was offered a couple of months ago. I printed it on my Xpress-It paper using my Epson L1800 printer. It turned out nice because my markers were blending very well and the ink didn't bleed at all.

Hello, Hey, Hi!

Masks are very popular thesedays in Indonesia. In the beginning of the pandemic there was a scarcity of masks, particularly the medical one-time use masks. The government had mandated us to use the mask in public and that fabric masks are more than sufficient to ward off the droplets to prevent transmission. From then on there has been sooooo many masks sold here. From cheap ones to ornate expensive ones. I love buying them too because I can match them to my clothes. So here is a card that was inspired by those fabric masks sold all around the country.

Hey, You!

Hey, you! Yes, you! I hope things are well with you. It's again one of those weeks where there are so many meetings and ad-hoc discussions. It's very exciting though. I am pretty happy with my work and very grateful that I am still employed. I try to craft almost daily now after work, but sometimes my back hurts and I get pretty tense after all day working so I would do just small things like die cutting.

Anyhow, here's another Summer card I made. Hope you like it :)

Wonderful Mermaid Card

I guess I haven't moved on from my Mermaid Week last week. I still have a mermaid card to share with you all. I actually bought The Greeting Farm's new Mermaid Galore kit and I will be coloring them over the next couple of weeks. So yes, more mermaid cards in the future!

Enjoy Summer Card

Summer is full on in my neck of the woods! Gosh, I have been blasting the AC the past week or so and it's still pretty hot. The downside is, mosquitoes are also making a comeback and disturbing my sleep! Thank goodness I'm still at home though, so I get to just lie down in my room for a little bit if my work room gets a little hot (it's a bit more exposed to the heat because it has a semi-open roof).

Anyway, here's a card to sort of celebrate this very popular season. It's such a different Summer this year, isn't it? I really miss going to the beach. I hope next year or even sooner I can travel freely again.

Mermaid Week Day 7: Sending You Oceans of Joy Card

It's the last day of Mermaid Week! I can't believe I have uploaded all 7 videos over on my Youtube channel. I hope you had the chance to take a peek. You can also see the video embedded on this post below. I have been so busy taking photos of my cards and projects both yesterday and today. I think I have almost 30 (!!!) new cards and projects. Can't wait to show it all to you here and around the communities at Facebook. In the mean time, here is the last card for the week.

Mermaid Week Day 5: Let's Celebrate

It's Friday, finally! Do you have plans for the weekend? I am just going to snooze, catch up on my fave crafty Youtube channels and of course, getting crafty. I actually have a lot of cards and projects to photograph so I might do that too over the weekend.

Anyway, here's the fifth card for my Mermaid Week on Youtube. I love the papers here. I always have an affinity for underwater and beach scene patterns.

Mermaid Week Day 6: Let's Shell-Ebrate Shaker Card

Yay! It's finally weekend! This week has been quite intense for me at work. We're working on a lot of improvements and developments, so a lot of sync-ups and meetings went on this week. There are plenty as well next week, but this week was a lot more and longer. I am so happy to finally clocked out yesterday, eventhough I was still working from home.

Here is my sixth card. Just 1 more card to show you tomorrow for my Mermaid Week theme over at my Youtube channel. If you have any theme in mind for me to try out, let me know!

Mermaid Week Day 4: Let's Shell-ebrate

It's now almost weekend and more than midway on Mermaid Week over on my YouTube channel. This one is another shaker card. I love the one because the shape is quite unusual. I used a label die from Gina Marie Designs as a base and frame of my shaker. It turned out very cute. I used seed beads here, it kinda looks like bubbles. I also colored the hair blue, something I rarely do. Overall it was a fun card to make and challenged me to do something I rarely do or even never done before.

Mermaid Week Day 3: Best Wishes Card

Here is my third card for the Mermaid Week series over on my Youtube channel. This was a bright one I made using the maaaannyy many mermaid stamps I got from The Greeting Farm. This one was from one of their limited edition kits. I think I almost always buy their big kits. Perhaps only 1 or 2 that I don't own because the style didn't appeal to me. But the rest are always so adorable and a bang for my buck. To be honest I like the rubber stamps more than their clear stamps kit, because it stamps better. But nowadays I rub the clear stamps on my hands until it's not as tacky anymore then I inked them. I get much better results that way, although rubber stamps create crisper impression.

Mermaid Week Day 2: Thanks Card

Hey hey hey! It's mermaid week day 2 and today I am featuring a shaker card. I love making shaker cards because they are fun and can be filled with all kinds of sequins and beads. I was obsessed with buying sequins last year. I think I have almost all colors of the rainbows, pastel to bold, clear and opaque. I love them all!

Mermaid Week Day 1: Thinking of You

Hello everyone! Have you visisted my Youtube channel yet? I have had a channel for over 6 years but I haven't been very active. So I decided to film a few videos to force myself to get back in the game. It's pretty fun filming the videos, but sometimes editing takes a lot of time because I always wanted to zhuzh it up a notch hehe.

So here's an attempt for me to post a themed projects for a week, be it for a few days in that week or every day of the week. This week is Mermaid Week. Gosh, I have a ton of mermaid stamps! Especially from The Greeting Farm. I think it's such a popular image that a lot of stamp companies produce series of them.
