Neon Hair

I rarely, if not never, color hair in colors other than the usual brown, blonde, red or black. But for this Some Odd Girl challenge I colored the hair in pink and I love it! It looks so playful and cute :D

Princess Book Card

I love doing cards that are out of the box, be it a tri-fold card, a tilt-card or like this one… A book card! I love making bookcards, and in this one I put some sweets and tea in it for a good friend of mine.

Tropical Mae

Ah yes, summer is here… Less rain in Jakarta but still a patch of gloomy clouds here and there. I like a cooler summer rather than scorching dry summer. I think I might have that this year (last year it’s rain season ALL YEAR LONG!).

So in order to celebrate the goodness of summer, I have a new card using the newest digi from Some Odd Girl.

Isn’t she gorgeous? Look at that hibiscus! What a perfect summer image!! :) This is also a freestanding card and I made this using this tutorial.

Lovely Friendship

Oh, it’s Friday again! I love Fridays… I think it’s the only day of the week I can truly do whatever I want. No work today although occasionally I had to go and do stuff but still… occasionally. ;)

Anyway, a simple card from me today. I adore this color combo and that sweet sentiment!

Coloring With Colored Pencils

I know I almost always color my stamp images with markers, but I recently fell in love again with colored pencils when hubster bought me this 120 Caran D’ache Pablo Colored pencils a while back.

I’m still learning the ropes to color using them, because although you can still have that gradient-looking colors as you would with markers it’s still pretty different. But I am surprised at how easy it is to color dark to light just using ONE colored pencils and odorless mineral spirits. That means I have 120 NEW COLORS! :D

So anyway, here’s my first ever card made using these badboys ;)

…Just Because

Here’s a card I made with a color combo I recently discovered. I never tried pink (fuchsia) with orange before but this one kinda blows my mind. It works and it looks lovely!

You’ve Got Mail(boxes)!

Ah it’s been a while since I’ve posted a 3D project! I have been making these for a couple of months now, and have been so crazy about how cute they all turned out. It started in February when everyone is crazy about making cards and postal packaging for the Valentines. I cannot get those cute metal mailbox tin you guys in the US get in the dollar bins (because a. I live in Indonesia, b. sending them here requires a bit quite a lot of a postage fee), so I began searching for alternatives. I made my own mailbox a couple of years ago, made of paper and emulates those mini mailbox tins. But this year I wanted something different. And so my search resulted in these adorable mailboxes. And I just kept making them!

PS. I know it’s not Valentine’s and these have Valentine’s written all over it, but who cares? These are just too stinkin’ cute not to make anytime of the year! ;p

Summer Rain

Have you ever had those days when it’s hot and then suddenly it rains? It’s been like that a lot these couple of months. Jakarta’s weather is weird, I know. That’s why at the end of my radio show I always say' ‘stay safe and stay dry!’ because you never know when it’s going to rain here. I carry an umbrella in my bag all the time because there were plenty of times when I came home embarrassingly wet while my area is bone dry!

Speaking of rain, here’s a little card to whet your eye appetite for colors and creativity! :D

100% Happy

After all those summery colors… I’m going to change the colors here a bit. This card is made using my all time fave color combo which includes red, white and blue. I’m always sooooo drawn to those colors. I really enjoyed coloring this digi stamp from Some Odd Girl. I mean, look at that vest! I think I can pat myself in the back for coloring it just like it’s made of jeans :D One of the things I like about Some Odd Girls stamps is that Kristy always draw them in fashionable clothes! I just love it, so trendy!

A Happy Hello

Yes, hello from sunny Jakarta! It’s been so hot this week and I’ve been having so much fun creating summery cards of all kinds. Just like this one, using one of my fave TGF stamps. If you ask me what season I love the most, the answer would certainly be spring. But everything about summer just screams a lot more fun for me. Anyways, on to my card.. I made this 5 1/2 inch square card.
