Saturday Inspiration: Chalkboard Stamping Technique

Hey all! It’s time for another Saturday Inspiration! Whoaaa, I can’t believe it’s near the end of the year already. Our house, eventhough bogged by the flu plus fever, is full of Christmassy stuff. We usually celebrates it at our uncle’s house with bunches of presents for the little ones :)

Anyway, today the post will be about creating those trendy blackboard stamping technique style. Come and try it! It’s soooo easy!

Saturday Inspiration: Mini Pizza Box

Hey all! It’s time for a new Saturday Inspiration! Christmas is almost here and in my house we’ve got loads of wrapping gifts to do, some don’t really have good boxes that come with it like jewelry. So I made this mini pizza box to hold small gifts. It’s quick, easy and really cute!

Saturday Inspiration: A2 Coordinating Envelope With Liner

Hello and happy Saturday (on your neck of the woods)! How are you? It’s been really hectic for me this week because my nieces are staying over until  Christmas, and we do lots of things together. But it was all so fun :)

Anyway, as always, here’s a tutorial I posted on how to make an A2 envelope plus the liner with the ever so popular envelope punch board. The envelope coordinates with the card I made previously :)

The Greeting Farm Cyber Monday Celebration Blog Hop

946967_10152000975039886_2011648173_n

Hello everyone! Welcome to The Greeting Farm Cyber Monday Celebration Blog Hop! I am so excited to participate because I am a HUGE fan of The Greeting Farm.

How was your Thanksgiving? We had Thanksgiving weekend luncheon (We Indonesians don’t celebrate it, as I think it’s exclusively American tradition), but I did initiate the lunch because the whole family was gathered up at my parents’ over the weekend. I made roast chicken and also beef stew and several side dishes. I love it!

Anyway, I would like to share a card I made for this blog hop :) It’s made using one of my fave images from The Greeting Farm, Hatter Bean.

Season’s Greetings

Yes, December is here already! Which means it’s the season to be happy and celebrating. I so loooooovvveeee Christmas. It’s one of those days of the year that I cherish the most because my extended family would gather up and we’d have so much fun together. Since we were kids we would take our annual Christmas family picture together and I remember in the early 90’s my uncle documented the whole Christmas night with his camcorder. It’s so nice to look back on all those pictures and videos and see how all of us have grown and added lots of new family members.

Anyway, today I am going to show you a card I made for The Rubber Buggy design team post. I love it so much since I’ve been eyeing this stamp from Magnolia for a while now.

Saturday Inspirartion: Faux Metal Accent

Hello all! Happy (post) Black Friday and also (belated) Thanksgivukkah!! It’s so exciting isn’t it? It’s nearing the end of year and just around the corner, the holidays are coming. I love this time of year. Yes, I live in a tropical country, but still the mood is the same as any parts of the world. So happy!

Anyway, for my Saturday Inspirations post today, I am making a faux metal accent. This is such a simple yet effective idea when you want to take your embossing powder and die cut to the next level.

I Am Back!

Hey guys! If you’re wondering why I have gone quiet the last few weeks… Well there has been lots of things going on. First, the whole house was sick and so the vicious circle began. One recovered then the next fell ill with cold and cough. Ugh, simply horrible. And then what’s truly heartbreaking was my hub’s uncle who wed us died. We had to make tough decision regarding this because he was on life support for a while and it was totally hell to let go :( But things are great now… We’ve moved on and slowly picking things up. Like, I bought a new oven too to boost my mood :D

Anyway, let me give a you a recap of a few videos I uploaded as my Saturday Inspirations for Loves Rubberstamps.

First is a tutorial on glittered die cut element using double sided tape and glitter.

True Love

Heya all! I had so much fun yesterday, meeting my old friend Jeane. We go way back while I was in college. We were web friends through an online community. We lost touch but when I started papercrafting a few years ago, I was introduced to a few Indonesian crafters, and there she was! She was visiting from Sydney and we were like, “Hey… Aren’t you….?” and the rest is history!

We spent the afternoon chatting and flipping through inspirations. I also purchased a couple of stuff from her that she had brought from Sydney. So I am a happy crafter throughout the day ;)

Anyways, here’s a new card I’d like to share with you today.

Get Well Soon with Nurse Tilda ;)

Happy Eid Al-Adha to those who celebrate! I just got back from the mosque and we are ready to feast! Ugh, I spent the whole day cooking yesterday and believe me… I don’t really feel like eating at the moment. But the beef curry I made was really tender and begging me to fork through them. Perhaps a bit later for late lunch :D

Anyways, time for a new card. This is a card for my DT post over at The Rubber Buggy. Have you gone to their store yet? The new Winter Wonderland collection from Magnolia is now available to order! I am sifting through it and getting ready to get my hands on these new beauties. In the mean time, here’s my new card :)

Epic Inspired Birthday Card

It’s a new day again! I love start of the week after a good weekend. Well, partially good weekend for me this time hehe. I had an upset stomach throughout the weekend after I went to my cousin’s wedding. I think it’s because it’s a garden wedding and it poured.. So the wind and chill got to me. But I’m okay now and am so happy to be home. Tomorrow my whole extended family will be at my house to celebrate Eid Al-Adha. So many food and family, my kind of joy!

Anyway, I have a new card today. A while back my friend Alyce sent me this stamp along with her amazing card. I just gotten round to using it now as this card is inspired by the movie Epic. Have you seen it? It’s so brilliant and imaginative!

Saturday Inspirations New Post!

Hello all! Yes, in my neck of the woods, it’s Sunday.. But I just got home from my brother’s place so I just posted this now and I was in a hurry yesterday.

You know when it comes to tweens and teens, presents can be a bit tricky. My solution is to give them money, especially for their birthdays. Now rather than just giving them money in an envelope, I decided to pretty up the money holder!

Card Caravan #49: Color Combo

Fall colors are swarming the galleries and blog as the season is coming on in full swing. It’s just everywhere. So when it was my turn to host the latest Card Caravan Challenge, I thought about spicing things up and create a color combo that’s a bit more cheerful and fun. Don’t get me wrong, I love fall colors, they are so warm and lovely, but sometimes when we make cards and projects we often forget that some parts of the world does not have that season or perhaps in the opposite season from fall at the moment. So this challenge would work for everyone :)

Update and a New Saturday Inspirations Video!

Hey all.. I have been rather quiet because it’s been a chaotic week. My Dad was hospitalized and I had to stay with him in the hospital so I can’t really do a lot of things. His prostate was bleeding and we found out that it was due to complications of his heart meds (which includes a blood thinner/coagulant) and his prostate meds. The doctors said that it was the result of the long term effects of the blood thinner. He has been discharged and doing well at home at the moment. The doctors also has changed his heart meds to prevent this from happening again.

Now since I didn’t posted any Saturday Inspirations video last week, I did a little double dipping today. Here’s a tut on how to make a tea bag book and also how to apply flocking powder to your image.

New Saturday Inspirations: Triple Easel Card

Hey all! Wow, I am kind of late to the party because it’s been crazy hectic this weekend at home. My nieces are here with my brother as their mother went to a business trip to Bali, so I haven’t had a time to post here. I did set up a scheduled post, but then when I checked it was actually saved as a draft on my computer instead (I use Live Writer). Gah… So I am posting a new one today hehe.

Anyway, yes… I have a new card and video for Loves Rubberstamps’ Saturday Inspiration post.

Lovely Altered Notecard Box

Way before I got into stamping, I was so into altering things. I do it 100% hybrid and I kind of miss it lately. So here’s another altering attempt I made.

The flowers/roses are handmade using die cuts by Cheery Lynn. I don’t have many flowers especially of this color so I had to make it myself. I then ‘sugared’ the flowers using some Martha Stewart clear glitter.

First Saturday Inspirations Video!

Hello all! If you’ve seen my sidebar you’d probably know that I am one of the newest members of Loves Rubberstamps. Have you been to the store? There’s lots of goodies there especially stamps that would satisfy your papercrafting needs! And the challenge blog? Oh, don’t get me started.. It’s just chock full of inspiration! Speaking of inspiration… I have a video specially for Loves Rubberstamps. I am their video design team member, so every Saturday I will post a video of techniques, tutorials, color along or make-and-takes.

Anyway, the first project I am making for Loves Rubberstamps is a card with the image having the jeans textured by actual jeans.

Altered Triangle Banner

Hello all! I have been busy creating, so forgive my absence. I am recently on an altering kick. I don’t usually alter anything except albums (I used to years and years ago). So today I’ll show one of an altered item I made.

I made an altered triangle banner. Well technically, it’s not really altered since I made it from scratch using two layers of thin board.. But you can call it altered since I decorated it right? ;)

Make A Wish

It’s such a bittersweet day for me today. I am getting ready to go to my best friend’s day at the moment and am sneaking in a little post before I go. Today’s her last day in Jakarta and tonight she is leaving for Sydney again. We have been friends for almost TWENTY years and it still breaks my heart when we part. Our story is extraordinary and believe me when I say extraordinary because we have never lived in the same city for more than 3 years. Yet, we are the closest friends to each other. Now that’s special :)

Anyway, here’s the card I am showing you today. Pink galore!!

Summer’s End

Hey all! It’s Monday again and I’m feeling a little blue.. It’s nearing the end of August and it means Summer is really gone… Plus, our temporary helpers will go back home to their hometown tomorrow because our live-in helpers are back. I kinda like them a lot and it feels bad letting them go. But I do need to remember that we already do have permanent helpers.

Anyway, as an homage to summer, I made two cards here. Although, I can’t promise I’ll stop making summery card soon ;)
