What It Means To Me

I used to be a lot of different creative teams. I remember my days being design team for Prima Marketing and the excitement it always bring when huge boxes of Prima flowers, papers and blings arrived at my house. I was really proud because I was the only design team who came from Asia! I also remember when I was on Zoe Pearn’s team where she was the most coveted designer who were designing for My Mind’s Eye, oh boy, every time she released a kit I felt really blessed to get to play with her stuff. I quit most of my design teams now and I don’t even try getting into new ones thesedays, and I tell you it I felt a lot more creative and better now. I get to create with whatever suits my mood and whenever I feel like it. I am still on a couple of design teams which I love to death, but their stuff is always so charming and lovely I am ALWAYS in the mood to create with their stuff hehe.

Some people desperately want to win challenges and get on to design teams, I really can’t wrap my head around that. Why would recognition be so important to them than the craft itself? To me, when people whom I give my cards to or seen my cards say that my craft is awesome, that is a good enough recognition for me. Sure, winning the challenges or getting into design teams gets you loads of goodies, but you already own most of those stuff.. Am i right? Hehe.  I create therefore I am. I make cards  and stuff because I enjoy making them. That’s why I am at peace with what I’ve done. :)

Anyway, enough crafting wisdom crap from me. hahaha. I’m still here to share my cards. Hehe. Those tea holder projects still needs a little tweaking, hopefully by today I’ll finish them all and get to take pics of them. Meanwhile, I’ll leave you with this.

  1. Hai Indah, I agree with you. Let's make our creations just because we want to make them, because we enjoy. Winning the challenge is just an amazing bonus. Sharing that we've won the challenge is also good, because it can "contaminate" others to create more and more...
Your desire on hybrid has already infected me... LOL...
